Curtain Up! Gala

Curtain Up! A New Dawn is a high-energy theatre party celebrating the launch of Waco Civic Theatre’s upcoming season. It’s bold, electric, and alive with movement.

For one night only, the stage is transformed into Times Square. Lights everywhere. Music pumping. Crowds buzzing. Screens flashing. The feeling that something big is about to happen…

This immersive evening give you the sense that you’ve stepped into the heart of the city on opening night. Expect elevated bites, lively entertainment woven throughout the space, exclusive previews of the season ahead, and moments that pull you into the action. From surprise performances to first looks at what’s coming next, the night builds toward a thrilling, can’t-miss presentation!

The Best of Waco Party

The WACOAN®, Waco’s Magazine™, is bringing the BEST OF WACO® winners off the page and onto the party floor. You’re invited to join and celebrate past and present Best of Waco winners at the Best of Waco Party on Saturday, Feb. 28. Guests will enjoy a memorable night filled with award-winning bites, photo-worthy moments, music and more. This celebration also marks the official kickoff of the 2026 Best of Waco voting.

The evening begins at 7 p.m. at the AC Hotel Waco Downtown. Attendees can expect a curated tasting experience featuring Best of Waco–winning restaurants, pink cocktails inspired by our signature Best of Waco brand, and an energetic soundtrack to keep the celebration going.

From the BEST tacos and decadent desserts to Waco’s must-have services, this event brings together the very best our community has to offer — all in one unforgettable night. Pink vibes encouraged.
