If you are a musician, music venue, business owner, or just a member of our community, you will want to be here for this event! The Texas Music Office will host a Music Friendly Community workshop on Wednesday, August 28th, in Waco.
The workshop is open to anyone interested in learning about the new Texas Music Office program that seeks to foster music business economic development in Texas cities and communities.

The Waco Downtown Farmers Market is a year-round market. Since November 2011, the Market has been and will continue to be open every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm (noon in July and August), featuring the best local agricultural producers and artisan vendors within 150-miles of Waco. Quetzal Co. Tacos will be serving up fresh local tacos all night while Keep Waco Loud is throwing another amazing show with Central Texas musicians. Waco Restaurant Week is a one-week, city-wide event taking place at local restaurants, coffee shops and bars across Waco. All menu items sold under the Waco Restaurant Week menu specials will donate 10% to Caritas, a local charity that fights to end hunger and poverty in our community.
This unique event is designed to shake you awake by engaging your social skills while meeting up with new friends you've never met. We chat with conversation cards provided by Talk More Tech Less and dine on some fine food provided by a different guest chef each month.
For September's dinner we are bringing in guest chef Waffle Chic who will BRING IT with her fan-freaking-tastic chicken and waffles. She has style, she has flare, but most of all she has chicken and waffles that are to LIVE for!
A meet-up and panel conversation hosted by Lost in Waco, Waco's new independent arts and culture magazine. You’ll hear from local creatives on the importance of street-level culture and why it matters for Waco. Waco Restaurant week seems like a perfect time to introduce a Charcuterie Board. Dancing Bear’s Chef Bailey has carefully curated a board of cured meats, cheeses, pickles, jam and toast. They are available in two sizes, with or without the meat selections.

It’s the Second Annual: Waco Oktoberfest benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association! They need your help to make this an incredible event so bring your friends and family for a day full of fun!
All proceeds go to the MDA to support the families in our community. The money raised goes to help the MDA create more hope and answers for families living with muscular dystrophy and related diseases that take away physical strength and mobility.

Guests can taste more than 200 wines and sample food from over 20+ restaurants in a fun and casual setting. Event activities include live music, college games on the large screen televisions, silent auction, the famous "Cork Pull", fun games and activities and the Red Carpet Dog Walk. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Central Texas.

Head to The Hippodrome for an evening of entertainment as local celebrities perform in a dance competition to raise money and awareness for Family Abuse Center’s mission. Some of Waco’s biggest “STARS” have been teamed with professional dancers “PROs” and have begun training and preparing for an unforgettable show! These dancers rely on your commitment for a successful performance and a chance to win the competition on the big night. Your support also helps the staff and volunteers at Family Abuse Center to provide safety, education, and support for survivors of domestic violence

The Waco Hippodrome and Happy Hounds Aquatic & Daycare Center are proud to present the 3rd Annual Dogtoberfest benefiting the Animal Birth Control Clinic's Community Outreach Program. This program provides resources and transportation for many under-served Central Texas families who are unable to reach veterinary care for their cats and dogs. The goal of ABC’s program is to keep families and pets happier, healthier, out of shelters, rescues, and off the streets.
They'll have German food, beer, dog-friendly photo booth by HOT Photo Booth, adoptable pets, vendors, and activities.
Admission to the event is FREE, but food and drink tickets are sold separately.
Each year the Waco Pride Network hosts the Out on Brazos festival to celebrate the LGBTQ community and its allies in the Greater Waco area. Gates open at 11am. The event will end around 5pm. The festival features musical performances, food trucks, vendors and community.
