HEB Cameron Park Zoo Stampede

Hop Into Fun – Kangaroo Style!
at Cameron Park Zoo’s
H-E-B 10K, 5K, & 1K Zoo Stampede

“G’day mates,” get ready to hop through the Zoo Stampede course like the incredible red kangaroo—the largest marsupial on Earth and Australia’s high-hopping heavyweight! These awesome animals can leap up to 25 feet in a single bound and hit speeds of 35 to 40 mph. That is some serious running inspiration! Males can grow up to 6 feet tall and weigh around 200 pounds, while the speedy females—nicknamed “blue flyers”—are smaller, sleek, and blue grey in color. With powerful legs and tails that work like a third leg for balance and propulsion, kangaroos are built for movement across the wide-open plains of Australia. Whether you are racing for a personal best or just leaping along for fun, channel your inner Roo and hop to it! Registrations are limited to 850 runners. Early registration not only guarantees you a race spot, but also a t-shirt and finisher medal!! “Alright mates, catch ya later!”

*Present your race bib to be granted Zoo admission on race day only.

$25-$70. Registration can be made here.
