Waco is joining more than 175 U.S. cities (and 750+ worldwide) for Make Music Day—a global, open-door celebration of sound held each year on the first day of summer.

On Saturday, June 21, music will pop up across the city—from front porches and coffee shops to sidewalks, parks, and patios—culminating in a community-wide sunset finale at the Waco Suspension Bridge.

This isn’t a ticketed concert. It’s a citywide invitation. Anyone can perform. Any space can become a stage. All events are free and open to the public.

This summer, a new tradition begins! Woofstock, the first annual music-filled fundraiser from the Humane Society of Central Texas, is hitting the stage on Saturday, June 21 at The Backyard Bar, Stage & Grill in Waco. Running from 4:00pm - 11:30pm, this all-day celebration is packed with heart, soul, and a whole lot of tail-wagging joy.

Woofstock is more than just a music festival - it’s a celebration of the unbreakable bond between humans and animals and the incredible sense of community that forms when we come together for a shared purpose. At the heart of the event is the belief that animals make us better, and that’s why this festival is designed for everyone who believes in the magic of the human-animal connection. As you explore the venue at The Backyard, you’ll find interactive art displays, laid-back activities, and moments designed to bring the community together.

With a genre-spanning lineup that includes Jon Muq, Sundae Drivers, The Bottomless, and more, the Woofstock stage is set to offer something for every music lover: rock, indie, country, R&B, and everything in between.
