The Hispanic Leaders’ Network will host A Legacy of Service: Honoring Dr. Hector P. Garcia on October 6 at 6:00 PM at the Paula & Mark Hurd Welcome Center in Waco. The event will feature Cecilia Garcia Akers, daughter of Dr. Garcia, as the keynote speaker, sharing personal stories about her father's impactful life as a physician, World War II veteran, and civil rights leader. The event is free and open to the public.
