At the pavilion in Pine City, MN, Kari and Peter, high-school sweethearts, reunite at their twenty-year high-school reunion for the first time since Peter left Kari, following an unexpected pregnancy. Through a series of interactions, led by the Narrator and the many characters he plays, Peter tries to win Kari back. However, with years of resentment and moving on with life, time cannot move backwards, even with the omnipotent powers of the Narrator. Kari and Peter find a way to continue with both their life and their choices within each sacred moment.
