Join the ARTPrenticeship 2025 team and help them get some color on the street as they transform Downtown Waco’s beloved 7th Street Pedestrian Plaza into a vibrant, interactive mural space!
This event is free and open to the public! Please note that an RSVP is required to paint. No experience necessary, and all ages are welcome. Sign up for a 30-minute painting session between 9AM - 12PM, and join in the fun, color, and community spirit!
On Saturday, May 31st, Creative Waco is inviting the community to roll up their sleeves, add a brushstroke, and meet the talented local artists and young creatives behind this year's ARTPrenticeship project as they make this pedestrian block an even more welcoming and colorful destination. In addition to painting, enjoy family-friendly fun like face painting, sidewalk chalk art, classic games, and a coloring station, and delicious refreshments!
While you're welcome to come by anytime to enjoy the festivities, please arrive during your reserved time slot if you'd like to participate in painting. This helps us keep things flowing smoothly and ensures everyone gets a chance to add their brushstroke!
Each painting session will include:
5 minutes – Welcome & Instructions
20 minutes – Guided Painting
5 minutes – Wrap Up
