The City of Waco is excited to announce the official groundbreaking ceremony for Alice Martinez Rodriguez Park, Waco’s newest destination park. Join in to celebrate the beginning of this transformative project. Light refreshments will be provided.

Alice Martinez Rodriguez Park will reimagine 30 acres of greenspace into a vibrant community destination for gathering, play, and connection.

This $25 million investment will feature an expansive all-abilities playground, interactive fountains, a great lawn and community pavilion, sports courts, and an all-wheels course — creating an inclusive park for everyone to enjoy.

Located near the former Floyd Casey Stadium and along Waco Creek, the park will connect neighborhoods, expand the citywide trail system, and bring modern recreational and natural experiences to the heart of Waco. Designed with colorful features, diverse vegetation, and unique amenities, the park will also honor and celebrate Waco’s Hispanic Heritage!
